The owners of this charming Victorian residence in Melbourne’s southeast approached McCluskey Studio with a simple brief – to create ‘the ultimate family home’. The result is a colourful and contemporary refresh that observes the building’s historic roots while delivering vibrant, practical spaces for a young family to flourish.

A sleek and minimalist backdrop helps maintain a cohesive look that is both creative and considered, providing the perfect canvas to build upon with deep colours, from caramel and navy to pops of aubergine and teal.Each space is elevated by luxurious pieces in bold shapes and textures, such as a softly curved sofa or a rich velvet armchair.
